Hippo Park

Blake and I have been hitting all the Upper West Side parks.  The other day we went to Hippo Park.  There were lots of hippos spouting water.  Blake loved it.

Playgroup

We went to our Monday playgroup today.  This corral was perfect to keep all the kids in one place for a photo!  

Top of the Museum

Today we went to check out the fountains on the roof of the Museum of Natural History.  It was a little cool this morning, so my plan was just to check it out.  Blake had a different idea.  He nearly jumped out of the stroller when he saw the fountains.   

There was a small wading pool.  Blake kept crouching down to splash.
Soaking wet.  Next time we will come prepared with a bathing suit and swim diaper.

King of Pop

Blake pays tribute to his favorite musician.  He has been very interested in all the media coverage of Michael Jackson.  He really responds to his music and loves watching him dance.  Blake was almost 10 months when this video was taken.  

Sunny Day..... Finally

Today was a sunny day for the most part, so we decided to go to the playground.

East Side

Blake and I ventured over to the Upper East Side today to visit our friends Andrea and Lukas.  We had a nice lunch and then went for a swim in their pool.

Wednesday Fun

My godmother came in to hang out with Blake and I today.  We had lunch at Good Enough to Eat.

Tuesday Lunch

We got together for lunch today to celebrate some moms' birthdays.  Blake and his friend Narinn enjoyed checking the scene out on the sidewalk outside the restaurant.  
When I take out my camera, Blake now says his version of "cheese" accompanied by this face.  Cracks me up every time.
We were so happy that our friends Cooper and his baby brother Ethan stopped by for a quick visit this afternoon.  They used to live in our apartment building, but moved to New Jersey a few years ago.  We miss them!

Sleepover at Mimi and Papa's

Blake's Mimi and Papa watched him for a few days while I took a quick trip down to Florida. He had a blast.  First stop was Mimi's friend's house to play with her grandchildren and ride a giant walrus.

Blake got some new wheels for his birthday.  He gave it a test drive at Mimi and Papa's house.  

Golden Arches

Mimi took Blake today for his first visit to McDonalds.  He went with Mimi's friend and her two grandsons.  He ate the entire hamburger.  I don't think it was organic.  
He finished with an ice cream cone. 

Visit From Will

Blake's buddy Will and his parents came to visit over the weekend.  Blake showed him the ropes at the playground. 
They had fun in the bath together styling each others hair like rockers.

Mexican Night

We were so happy and grateful that our neighbors invited us for some delicious Mexican food tonight.  Blake and Caleb loved the mushrooms, hot peppers and especially the guacamole.

Back to Music

We hadn't been to music class in a while.  Blake started smiling as soon as we walked through the door.  The theme for the summer is "around the world".  Here is Blake helping the teacher find Brazil, the country of the day.
