Turkey Time

We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner at Anthony and Joan's house.
Turkey is yummy!
Blake was loving cousin Rachel.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2010

We all got outside bright and early on Thanksgiving morning to get a good spot for the parade.

Kung Fu Panda
The spot we had was toward the very beginning of the parade. It was the location where all the "stars" would get out of black cars and hop on their floats. We saw Gladys Knight, Kanye West, Jessica Simpson, and Joan Rivers.

Waiting for Santa Claus.

"A Salad"

Blake has been brining home lots of paintings and drawings from school. This is my favorite thus far. It is titled "A Salad".

ASHA Convention

I attended the American Speech Language Hearing Association's annual convention in Philadelphia with my friend Laura. We listened to my friend from graduate school speak about his Ph.d dissertation. I was so proud. Go Anthony!
Papa drove in from Massachusetts to watch Blake. He took him to school, to the museum, the park, music and swim class! Here he is just before I left carefully reviewing the detailed notes I left him.
Thank you Papa! You are the BEST!

J Family Fun

We spent the afternoon and evening with the J family. After the Museum of Natural History we went to dinner. Kelsey Grammar was dining at a nearby table with his new girlfriend!
The boys had so much fun together. We have to do it again soon!

Dentist

Blake went to the dentist for the first time. The office was great. It was filled with toys, mechanical trains, and ceiling televisions to watch movies while you had your teeth cleaned. It went well (except for the intermittent screaming). We celebrated later in the day with a CRUMBS cupcake with friend Allie.

Ants on a Log

Blake and I made ants on a log for the first time. He thought it was so funny to call the raisins ants. He worked hard spreading the peanut butter on the celery, then placing the raisins on top. When he was finished he grabbed the plain stick of celery and ate it. I guess he didn't want to eat the ants!

Marathon Sunday

The NYC marathon was on Sunday. Although we didn't see any runners, we ventured out late in the day to see all the runners after the race.

Checking out the scene with buddy Caleb.

Pulipo

Pulipo is Italian for baby octopus. Blake could not believe that Nonna had an octopus cooking in her oven. He kept insisting she open the oven door so he could take a peek. He kept telling us "Octopus live in the ocean!" Time to taste.
He loved it and almost ate the whole thing.

Circle Time

Blake loves his school. He talks about his friends and what he does in school all the time. The other morning I went into his bedroom and he was reading his animals a book. He had set them up in a circle and told me they were in the "classroom" and they were all "listening".

It's Getting Cold Outside.....

Every time I tell Blake to look at the camera and say cheese, he closes his eyes and looks like this....

Halloween 2010

After another Halloween party in the afternoon we headed over to 69th street.

Blake was scared by some of the decorations and costumes, but he definitely enjoyed getting the candy.

We went back to our building to trick-or-treat with neighbors Caleb, Sadie, and Connor.

Racing to get to the next apartment.

Halloween School Party

On Halloween morning we went to a party at Blake's classmates house.
There was musical entertainment that Blake thought was fabulous.

Chowing.
